"Детский сад № 50 р. п. Сенной" основан приказом начальника Приволжской железной дороги в октябре 1957 г.
Учредителем Детского сада является Вольский муниципальный район Саратовской области.

График работы Детского сада: пятидневная рабочая неделя с понедельника по пятницу включительно, за исключением выходных (суббота, воскресенье) и нерабочих праздничных дней.
Группы функционируют в режиме сокращенного дня с 10,5-часовым пребыванием ребенка: с 07.30 до 18.00 ч., а также имеется одна группа в режиме полного дня с 12-часовым пребыванием ребенка: с 7.00 до 19.00 ч.
Основными функциями МДОУ "Детский сад №50 р. п. Сенной" являются: воспитание и обучение, обслуживание, присмотр, оздоровление.
